Irina Nechaeva will come to Poznań Fashion Fair from Kazakhstan. She gave us a few words about her activities and lecture, which she will give during the Congress of Proffesionals:
“Actually, I want to talk about eco-fashion, the development of the fashion industry in Kazakhstan in General, and the products of this direction that exist in Kazakhstan.
I want to start with the fact that there are two directions in the modern fashion industry that we are actively developing in Kazakhstan: moving away from fast fashion and switching to higher-quality and durable products and eco-mode using eco-materials and recyclables.
Today Kazakhstan makes a lot of steps in the direction of sustainable development. In 2010, the Ministry of ecology was established in Kazakhstan. We understand that the future lies in innovations and new technologies, including in the textile industry. In 2019, Kazakhstan hosted the first light industry forum and the national competition “Altyn Oymak”. A distinctive feature of our masters is the production of clothing and shoes made of felt. . And felt is an environmentally friendly material. . we also started manufacturing clothing and footwear using recycled materials. “Factory of non-woven materials” S. M. F.-System produces in Kazakhstan geotextile, synthetic insulation and holofiber, from plastic bottles.which we use in the manufacture of insoles and frames for shoes.
Today’s theme of eco-fashion is very relevant all over the world. Kazakhstan has already started working in this direction. My team and I are creating the Ecomoda project. Kazakhstan will become a single portal that brings together all the producers in this direction.
It is important that today there is such a term as fast fashion, which we also want to abandon. An effective tool in the fight against fast fashion and the transition to sustainable development is the choice of more durable and high-quality products.
In General, I would like to note the tendency of global manufacturers of clothing and footwear to go in a more significant direction – the direction of sustainable development. We also strive for this. and even in the direction of eco, now we are even developing ecotourism.
As for the fashion industry, Kazakhstan Fashion Week celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2019. the past fashion week was again devoted to environmental issues and sustainable development. This year we plan to hold the first eco-fashion week. We will be glad to see you among the participants.
In my opinion, quality and innovation are important components in the fashion world. using biodegradable materials and avoiding fast fashion. In a dynamic society, it is important to preserve natural resources. And we can do it together. Thanks for your attention”.
